It’s no secret that breakfast is the most essential meal of the day. For school aged children, breakfast is even more important for proper growth and learning in the classroom.

That’s why Dairy MAX partnered up with McDonald’s restaurants of New Mexico to host a free breakfast event at all participating restaurants for students from kindergarten through eighth grade.

“We all know the importance of breakfast, and Dairy MAX is proud to be a part of promoting milk as a healthy part of the most important meal of the day,” John Cass, director of industry image and relations at Dairy MAX, said.

The free breakfast event occurred on September 7, 2016 from 6 to 9 a.m. Each student received their choice of an Egg White Delight McMuffin or Egg McMuffin, apple slices and their choice of beverage—low-fat milk, orange juice or apple juice.

“Our role in the event was to provide milk for students and provide informational materials for parents about the benefits of choosing milk with breakfast,” Cass said.

Trayliners and bag stuffers were used during the event to communicate to consumers that McDonald’s 1% low fat white milk is an excellent source of Calcium and Vitamin D and provides nine essential nutrients kids need for growth and development.

At the event, Dairy MAX also provided coupons for return visits included in each bag. The coupons were for a free happy meal with a low-fat white milk jug with the purchase of a salad or a premium grilled chicken sandwich.

“The coupons encourage families to visit McDonald’s again and choose milk when they return. It’s a win-win,” Cass said.
