Coleen Kaiser has a broad dietetics background, with experience in nutrition-related research, clinical nutrition and community nutrition education. Recognition for her work includes the 2015 Montana State University Rufus T. Firefly Award of Excellence in Innovative Service and the 2016 Area 1 Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Outstanding Dietetic Educator Award for a Dietetic Internship Program.
Coleen holds a Master of Science in health and human development with a major in food and nutrition from Montana State University. She also completed a dietetic internship at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, an eight-month training in Developing Excellence in Academic Leadership (DEAL), Leading with Y.E.S. at the College of EHHD Leadership Institute and Crucial Conversations training. Previously the state coordinator for the SNAP-Ed and EFNEP low-income nutrition education programs for MSU Extension, Coleen has also owned and operated restaurants in Sacramento, California. She and her husband feel fortunate to have raised their three children in Montana and continue to live there.
