Jennifer Duhon grew up in a rural area surrounded by family involved in farming, livestock and agribusiness. But the role model who inspired her to pursue a career in nutrition was her grandmother, who was a nutrition educator for WIC (Women, Infants and Children). Jennifer earned a Bachelor of Science in dietetics and a Master of Science in nutrition from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. After working for the Acadian Medical Center, she returned to her roots in agriculture at the LSU AgCenter and The Dairy Alliance and finally joined Dairy MAX in 2019, putting her expertise in health, public speaking and ag marketing to work for local dairy farmers.
Jennifer was named Outstanding Young Dietitian of the Year by the Louisiana Dietetics Association, earned the Mercy Award for volunteerism through LifePoint Health, Inc. and was the first registered dietitian to hold a board seat on the Louisiana Governor's Council on Physical Fitness and Sports. She lives in Opelousas, Louisiana, with her husband and two children.
