Sandra Castro holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in nutrition & dietetics from Stephen F. Austin State University, where she completed the dietetic internship program, was an active member of Kappa Delta Chi service sorority and Phi Upsilon Omicron honor fraternity. Prior to Dairy MAX, she worked as a student wellness coordinator with United Healthcare's Activate for Kids program to plan, coordinate and facilitate district-wide and site-based programs promoting awareness, nutrition, physical fitness and education. Sandra has over eight years of experience with public health and wellness with a focus on childhood nutrition with the Harris County WIC Program. She joined the Dairy MAX team in 2014, where she enjoys helping schools build healthy students. Sandra lives in Houston, Texas with her husband and two kids.

Vanilla yogurt, sliced strawberries, coconut and dark chocolate granola.
Favorite physical activity:
Currently Zumba, with a side of running and Body Pump.
