She joined Dairy MAX in August 2022, excited to give back to farmers after growing up on a dairy farm and developing a deep appreciation for what they do. Holding a Bachelor of Science in nutrition from Purdue University and Level 4 School Nutrition Association Certificate, Shannon is a member of several industry organizations, including the National Association of Nutrition Professionals, School Nutrition Association and Texas Association of School Nutrition. In addition to their gaggle of wonderful kids, Shannon and her husband, Jeremy, have a dog named Muffin in Yantis, Texas.
Favorite physical activity: Riding bicycles or kayaking.
One food you’d want if stranded on a desert island: Peanut butter frozen yogurt.
Your food/nutrition mentor growing up: My grandmother, who prepared three meals every day for five families and any friends who happen to stop by. We raised everything we ate on our family farm, and she took those commodities and turned them into heavenly meals.
