Dr. Benjamin Edery believes the key to a healthier community is educating his patients on overall health. He has 40 years of dermatological experience, helping his patients with diseases of the skin, hair and nails.
Fluent in both English and Spanish, Dr. Edery earned his medical doctorate and surgery degree from the Universidad del Valle School of Medicine in Colombia and practiced four years of general medicine and surgery in an underserved area of Colombia. He then completed an internship in medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital in Hartford, Connecticut, an internal medicine residency at Sinai Hospital of Detroit and a dermatology residency at Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit.
Dr. Edery formerly served on the board of directors of the Memorial Hermann Health System, the board of socioeconomics of the Harris County Medical Society and as president of the Harris County Medical Society Southwest Branch. He remains a member of a variety of professional organizations, including the American Academy of Dermatology, Houston and Texas Dermatological Societies, Texas Medical Association, Harris County Medical Society and the Hispanic American Medical Association of Houston.
