Dr. Chenin Nickel has a broad nutrition background, with extensive experience in both clinical and community dietetic settings. Her research expertise spreads across community nutrition, clinical dietetics, food science and sensory science, with several peer-reviewed papers published in these areas.
Dr. Nickel earned her Bachelor of Science in nutrition and dietetics from Murray State University and her Master of Science and Ph.D. in nutrition science from University of Nevada, Reno. A registered dietitian, she completed her dietetic internship from Marywood University and previously served as an assistant professor at University of Nevada, Reno. In her free time, Dr. Nickel enjoys cooking, yoga and exploring all the recreational opportunities Colorado has to offer.
