Pam Patty has a passion for improving the lives of people. Having always respected the connection between food and health, becoming a community health dietitian was the perfect fit. Her current role allows her to share her knowledge and love of food and nutrition, so people feel empowered to make positive lifestyle choices. You’ll find her teaching everything from cardiac rehab and diabetes education to culinary instruction with both students and adults, and gardening with edible landscapes. She was awarded the Dean’s Award from the College of Allied Health at OUHSC in 2000, the Multicultural Student Service Award from OUHSC in 2000, the Outstanding Preceptor Award (NDEP, Area 4) in 2013 and Integris’ Stanley F. Hupfeld Eagle Award in 2015. When she’s not teaching nutrition, you’ll find her singing in her church choir, gardening and cooking, spending time with her five grandchildren and restoring thrift store finds.
