Patty Keane, M.S., RDN

Patty Keane is principal or co-investigator for research and programs related to early childhood nutrition, mostly in rural and underserved communities throughout New Mexico. Her work focuses on community strategies to improve child health and nutrition, especially for families of low income, who have young children experiencing limited food security. Patty was recently appointed to the Institute of Child Nutrition’s Child and Adult Care Food Program National Advisory Committee. She also volunteers in a policy advocacy role for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and serves on the board of several New Mexico nonprofits, including Three Sisters Kitchen and Roadrunner Food Bank, for which she chairs the Healthcare Advisory Committee.
