“Choc” Full of Protein

Protein is essential for any athlete’s nutrition. Building muscles; repairing them after exercise; preventing muscle breakdown.

But there aren’t many fast and easy ways to get protein. Supplements are expensive, and there are risks associated with drinking raw eggs.

Well, get this.

Chocolate milk has about 8 grams of high-quality protein in every 8-ounce glass – there’s even more in fortified milk. That’s more protein than an egg.

The proteins in milk are whey protein, which is digested quickly, and casein protein, which is digested more slowly. Both are easy for the body to process, and the combination creates a sort of slow-release system.

Plus, you can’t beat the taste.
