The National Western Stock Show, a nationally recognized western heritage and entertainment event that attracts over 650,000 visitors each year, is held every January for 16 days. Throughout this event, the National Western strives to strengthen American agriculture through enrichment programs and youth education in livestock, equestrian, farming, ranching, animal awareness and appreciation. Our partnership with National Western Stock Show allows us to showcase the important impact that dairy plays in the state of Colorado.

Collaborating with the students and instructors in CSU’s Ag Literacy program, commodity groups and other ag related industries from Colorado have created a unique way for students, teachers and families to experience and learn about Colorado’s vast agriculture. From the clothes we wear, to the food on our table, to the flowers in our garden, everyone is connected to and influenced by agriculture. Located on the 3rd floor of the Expo Hall The exhibit Did You Know? We are all AgriConnected draws visitors into Ag Adventure Land to learn more. Audiences will learn about dairy, beef, chicken, pork, bees, grains, potatoes, soybeans, flowers and wool. Children and adults are invited to also join the carpet areas, to take part in hands-on learning opportunities about how agriculture contributes to the clothes we wear, food we eat, and how agriculture effects our daily lives. While touring Ag Adventure, don’t forget to pause at our exhibit, where we share our Farm to Fridge story – showing visitors how milk travels safely, farm to fridge. As visitors leave, they will answer the question: How am I connected to Ag? #IAmAgConnected

New this year, we are partnering with Dairy MAX to bring the Dairy Discovery Zone, the cheesiest exhibit on wheels, to the National Western. The Dairy Discovery Zone is an interactive exhibit featuring the Legendairy Cow and fun for the whole family.
