Emily Weeks grew up with a love for dairy and nutrition, aware that the two go hand in hand. She earned a Bachelor of Science in nutrition from Texas Woman’s University and is a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and the Texas Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. She also holds the Texas Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Media Award for 2016. Emily came to Dairy MAX in May 2016 after serving as an outpatient registered dietitian at The Heart Hospital of Baylor Plano. She currently lives in Fort Worth, Texas, with her husband, Nick, and schnoodle puppy, Link.

Parmesan steel-cut oatmeal topped with a fried egg, avocado and sriracha.
One food you'd want if stranded on a desert island:
Cheese. No question.
Your food/nutrition mentor growing up:
My dad—he sparked my interest in cooking because he was always whipping up a new dish, grilling outside, or tending to vegetables in the garden.
