Dani Sheffield

Dani Sheffield has organized and directed food service operations for the 82 schools of Aldine ISD – including 67,000 students and 750 employees – for 15 years. 

Ms. Sheffield earned her Bachelor of Science in education and business along with culinary training. With 10 years’ experience teaching and a total of 28 years in child nutrition programs, she has a passion for marketing child nutrition programs and promoting their impact on students. 

Patty Keane, M.S., RDN

Patty Keane is principal or co-investigator for research and programs related to early childhood nutrition, mostly in rural and underserved communities throughout New Mexico. Her work focuses on community strategies to improve child health and nutrition, especially for families of low income, who have young children experiencing limited food security. Patty was recently appointed to the Institute of Child Nutrition’s Child and Adult Care Food Program National Advisory Committee.

Rafael Garcia, MD

Dr. Rafael Garcia is a board-certified pediatrician with 40 years of medical experience. He earned his medical degree from the University of California at San Francisco School of Medicine, and completed his residency at the San Antonio Uniformed Services Health Education Consortium. Dr. Garcia has practiced in clinics all over Texas, as well as in Arizona, Oklahoma and New Mexico.
